    Description
    Database Administrator - Remote Position

    **Minimum Job-Specific Skills/Qualifications Required:**

    - 5+ years' experience in designing complex, normalized, relational application databases, especially Oracle.
    - 5+ years' experience in designing, developing, and deploying relational databases in a cloud environment, particularly Azure and/or AWS, focusing on maintaining the integrity and security of the database.
    - Experience in migrating from an on-premises or cloud Oracle DB to cloud-based solutions like Azure SQL, MySQL, Azure Oracle in VM, AWS Aurora, or AWS RDS.
    - Strong written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
    - Experience in analyzing requirements, exploring alternatives, and providing successful recommendations for database solutions.
    - Experience in planning and executing migration from one database solution to another (e.g., Maria DB to MY SQL, Oracle to Azure SQL).
    - Proficiency in full database design, modeling, development, testing, and documentation lifecycle.
    - Knowledge and application of systems implementation principles, including conversion, data reconciliation, and documentation.
    - Expertise in developing and documenting relational database models and schemas based on functional specifications and object models.
    - Skilled in building, deploying, and administering relational databases for optimal performance to meet SLAs.
    - Ability to analyze database configurations to troubleshoot and resolve database and application issues.
    - Proficient in using SQL for function and stored procedure packages, and in database performance monitoring and tuning tools.
    - Experience in developing data scrubs to rectify data based on application knowledge.
    - Sound understanding of information systems architecture for enterprise-wide systems deployment and various application delivery mechanisms.
    - Proficient in coordinating with 3rd party vendors to address database software issues.


    Additional Skills/Qualifications Desired:
    - Experience with IT office software and tools like ERwin Data Modeler, Toad, Eclipse, JIRA, Clear Quest, and Subversion.
