    Overview
    Element has an opportunity for a
    Associate
    Test Technician to join our rapidly expanding team in Warren, MI.

    As a member of the operations team in in Warren, the Associate Test Technician position performs a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under direct supervision.


    Responsibilities

    • Safely operate and maintain interiors test stands and related equipment in compliance with company policies and safety requirements
    • Oversee multiple projects in the interiors laboratory and responsible for day-to-day, including scheduling, updating client, and coordinating or reporting activities with supervisor or other team members
    • Interpret and work to several OEM test specifications, SAE and ASTM standards
    • Use of various data acquisition equipment
    • Use of hand tools and power tools required
    • Review test data (OEM and Tier 1 & 2 suppliers)
    • Work closely with other engineers/technicians
    • Self starter willing to put extra hours, as needed, willing to work in weekends as needed

    Skills / Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering preferred
    • 1-3 years experience in automotive/testing field preferred Interiors testing experience highly preferred
    • Interpreting testing procedures and requirements
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel)
    • Ability to remain calm when faced with mounting pressure related to deadlines and multiple priorities
    • Must have valid driver's license, or ability to obtain prior to beginning employment
