Job Title:
Assistant/Coordinator to Co-President of Black Music and Head of Marketing (title commensurate with experience)

A little bit about our team:

The Black Music Team works cross functionally with all departments in the Atlantic Records ecosystem to successfully product manage artist singles, albums, and special projects from inception to completion.

By joining our team, you will be responsible for supporting the Co-President of Black Music and the Head of Marketing with administrative and creative tasks.


Your role:


We're looking for a dynamic and resourceful Assistant or Coordinator (title commensurate with experience) to provide essential support to both the Co-President of Black Music and the Head of Black Music Marketing.

This role is all about being the backbone of our team, ensuring that our executives have everything they need to succeed while also bringing fresh insights and ideas to the table.

In addition to providing support, you will have the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of the music industry and establish industry contacts.


Here you'll get to:

  • Keep things running smoothly by managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and handling travel arrangements for our executives.
  • Take charge of expense tracking and management, ensuring everything is in order and on track.
  • Assist with event planning and execution, from coordinating logistics to ensuring a seamless experience for attendees.
  • Provide administrative support during meetings, including taking minutes, preparing agendas, and distributing relevant materials.
  • Get creative with presentations and marketing decks using tools like Canva, PowerPoint, etc., helping to bring our ideas to life.
  • Serve as a liaison between the executives and internal/external stakeholders, fostering positive relationships and facilitating effective communication.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and youth culture, providing valuable insights to inform our strategies and initiatives.

About you:

  • You have 23 years of experience as an Assistant or in a similar administrative role, ideally supporting highlevel executives in a fastpaced environment.
  • You have common sense, excellent verbal & written communication skills, and are thorough, resourceful, and detailoriented.
  • You have the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
  • You have people skills, the ability to work well in a fastpaced environment, and are highly motivated, taskoriented, organized, and a proactive selfstarter.
  • You have the ability to work independently and collaboratively, demonstrating initiative, flexibility, and a positive attitude.
  • You have strong computer skills typing, proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides), and other productivity tools (Canva, Concur, Mailchimp, or equivalent programs).
  • You have a pulse on what's new, trendy, socially and culturally relevant in Black Music and tech.
  • You have discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information and matters.
  • You have the ability to take constructive feedback and a willingness to adapt, regardless of the circumstances.
