The Health Care Technician I (HCT I) is primarily responsible for providing direct care and person centered supports to residents with complex physical, intellectual, medical, and behavioral needs.
Direct Care staff focus on providing services to enhance the quality of life of their residents in a caring home environment with dignity and respect, offering choices and options to support individuality.
In the NF units, duties include completing Nursing Assistant assignments while maintaining optimal gross/fine motor skills, ensuring activities of daily living (mealtime, dressing, bathing, grooming, etc.) while supporting the highest level of practicable independence, as well as ICF units are responsible for active treatment and training in areas of basic needs (bathing, toileting, dressing, self-feeding, personal grooming, dental hygiene, communication), medication administration, money management, home-living, vocational, and leisure/recreational skills.
This position is responsible for ensuring all health and safety needs are met for assigned residents per regulatory guidelines.Staff is responsible for ensuring confidentiality and compliance with the Health Insurance Portability Accountability Act (HIPAA) in all aspects of communication.
O'Berry NMT Center provides ongoing training and encourages professional development for our employees.Employees work a rotating or fixed shift, weekends and holidays including inclement weather due to the facility providing services 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The O'Berry Neuro Medical Treatment Center in Goldsboro, North Carolina provides services through two distinct healthcare programs: Skilled nursing facility services (OBRA) and Developmental Disabilities (ICF-IID).
Ninety-six beds are allocated to skilled nursing care for our medically-fragile individuals and the remaining beds at the facility are allocated to ICF level of care for our developmentally-disabled individuals who receive active treatment.
In addition, O'Berry serves as the Eastern Regional Developmental Disability Respite Center.To receive credit for all of your work history and credentials, you must list the information on the application form.
