- Route incoming visitors, phone calls and mail to appropriate parties.
- Take phone messages and route to appropriate staff.
- Accept payments from Tribal members and Pueblo department staff, preparing receipts and following established cash handling procedures.
- Scan financial records into the electronic records management system.
- Schedule meetings and reserve conference rooms.
- Accept packages and notify Tribal department staff.
- File finance department documents and box and prepare documents for storage.
- Type documents including minutes and service requests.
- Provide backup for tribal administration front desk.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as necessary or assigned.
- Ability to operate general computerized office machines and equipment such as PC's, printers, copy machine, adding machine, and telephone.
- Ability to deal courteously and effectively with the public and staff.
- Must have basic computer literacy with the ability to use Windows based software for email, word processing and spreadsheets.
- Knowledge of standard office procedures and filing systems.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Must be able to maintain absolute confidentiality regarding Pueblo financial transactions or any information regarding Pueblo of Sandia Tribal members.
- Must be flexible and be able to adapt to changing work assignments.
- High School Diploma, GED certification or equivalent.
- One (1) year of experience in general office and/or clerical duties.
- Must possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted New Mexico Driver's License.
- Must be able to successfully pass a background investigation.
- Will require a post-offer, pre-employment and random drug screening.
- Work is performed indoors.
- Work hours subject to change with overtime work required.
- Subject to hazards which may cause personal bodily harm; smoke; diseases; cuts bruises, burns, common cold, influenza, dust, odors and elevated noise levels.
- Tasks may be performed on uneven, inclined, hard and soft carpeted floors, cement structures and surfaces.
- Duties may involve walking, standing for long periods of time, sitting and crouching.
- Specific required movements include the following:
- Trunk- bend, twist, rotate, push, pull, carry.
- Arms - reach, carry, lift, twist, and rotate.
- Legs - lift, push, pull, twist, and rotate.
- Hands - Grasp, manipulate bilateral coordination, hand and eye coordination, and overall and finger dexterity.
