Description
As the
Plant Operations Manager , you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing various aspects of plant management, including storage, inventory control, production, quality assurance, and personnel administration.
Your leadership will ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and legal regulations, ultimately driving the organization towards its goals and strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
Analyze daily inventory levels, build inventory based on sales data and forecasts, and make decisions regarding the introduction of plant material into production lines.
Quality Control:
Communicate and address quality issues with received or inventory plant material, ensuring compliance with customer orders and standards.
Supply Chain Management:
Assist in sourcing plant material, packaging, and supplies from local suppliers to meet production needs when necessary.
Process Optimization:
Analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to optimize plant processes and resource utilization, implementing action plans for improvement.
Production Planning:
Review and approve daily production plans, ensuring availability of necessary resources and optimizing scheduling accuracy.
Food Safety Compliance:
Review and approve daily reports from the Food Safety platform, conduct training sessions, and lead plant quality team audits to ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations.
Issue Resolution:
Address personnel issues, customer complaints, and production-related challenges promptly and effectively.
Additional Responsibilities:
Undertake any other tasks assigned by the immediate supervisor based on the requirements of the position.
Main Qualifications:
University degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related fields.
Minimum of 5 years of work experience, with at least 3 years in similar positions.
Bilingual Proficiency:
Fluent in English and Spanish.
Strong strategic focus and systemic management skills.
Demonstrated leadership abilities and teamwork.
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills (verbal and written).
Working Conditions:
Availability on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays if the production plant operates on those days.
Some travel may be required.
