Our General Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the overall operations and management of the airport. This role includes strategic planning and coordination of departments such as ground handling, passenger services, maintenance, and security to ensure smooth and safe airport operations. You will be responsible for engaging with airline partners, regulatory bodies, and government agencies to ensure compliance with aviation standards and regulations. Additionally, you will focus on financial management, business development, and enhancing customer satisfaction to boost the airport's reputation and profitability.

WHAT THE JOB ENTAILS AS A GENERAL MANAGER

Collaborating with a team towards common objectives
Supervising all operational aspects including ground handling, customer service, and maintenance
Creating and executing strategic plans to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction
Managing a diverse team of department heads and supervisors
Monitoring operational performance against key metrics
Interacting with airlines, airport authorities, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and effective partnerships
Driving business growth through innovative services and strategic alliances
Having a keen eye for detail
Thriving in both team-based and independent work environments
Building long-term relationships with customers
Engaging in physical activities such as occasional mobility, sitting for extended periods, and lifting up to 25 pounds
Effective communication with colleagues and clients in various formats
Handling tasks that may involve repetitive motions

Qualifications

Minimum age of 18 years
Proficiency in English language
10 years of experience in airport or aviation management, with leadership roles
Strong grasp of aviation regulations, safety protocols, and security measures
Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, financial management, and team leadership
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of the Aviation Industry
Comfort with technology including computers, mobile devices, and tablets
Ability to pass a drug screening
Eligibility for necessary credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal - when applicable)
