- Develop Systems Installation drawings under the guidance of an established Project Engineer.
- Designs basic parts.
- Develops manufacturing drawings for production equipment and prototypes
- Creates Bills of Materials.
- Creates parts lists.
- Prints drawing sets.
- Provides technical support and information to manufacturing personnel.
- Assists in performing QC audits and inspections of parts and equipment.
- Assists in preparing project records and documentation such as test plans, test reports, trip reports, corrective action reports, meeting agendas, meeting notes, etc.
- Communicates with other departments and employees to provide documentation needed for procurement and manufacturing of equipment.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

- Some CAD drafting experience in a material handling or in basic machine design.
- Knowledge of Computer Aided Design software and application.
- Ability to Establish and maintain effective working relationships with engineering, purchasing and manufacturing staff; vendors and customers.

JOB SUMMARY:
Mechanical Engineer Co-Op is an entry level position. Co-Op's are responsible for creating manufacturing and/or Installation drawings and documentation for basic mechanical parts and assemblies. Employees occupying this position will work in the engineering office under the supervision of an engineer or dept manager. These employees shall utilize the Computer Aided Design (CAD) software owned by the company. Drafters are responsible for completing assigned tasks within the designated time period.
