- Research and analyzes Kentucky Revised Status Chapter 314 governing Nursing Laws and related FederalLaws.
- Investigates facts and prepares documents to assist attorneys.
- Researches and analyzes law sources such as statutes, recorded judicial decisions, legal articles, andlegal codes to prepare legal documents such as briefs, pleadings, appeals, contracts and deeds for review,approval and use by attorneys.
- Attends and assists attorneys in investigative meetings with nurse investigators and nurses,.
- Preparation of witnesses and exhibits for administrative hearings and court proceedings. Qualification to apply:
- Must be a raising 3L Law Student.

The Kentucky Board of Nursing is seeking to fill a Co-Op position within our Legal Service Section. KBN LegalService Section represents KBN in Administrative Hearings on violations of law regarding nurses, dialysistechnicians and licensed certified professional midwives. As a Co-Op/Intern, you will have the opportunity toget on-hand experience in assisting in our Legal Support Service staff in preparing for at attendingAdministrative Hearings.
Co-Op/Intern can expect:

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): Must be enrolled on a full-time basis in high school as a junior or senior or enrolled at an accredited Kentucky post-secondary school or other educational institutions approved by the Kentucky Personnel Cabinet. Applicants must furnish proof of enrollment in such a program to the Personnel Cabinet.
