Job DescriptionSenior AccountantPURPOSE OF JOBThe Senior Accountant is responsible for general accounting and financial reporting for all business units of North America, and for compliance with Group standards and procedures.MAIN TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIESIncluding, but not limited to:

Oversee general ledgers and general accounting for all business units.
Execute and coordinate the monthly and quarterly closing processes.
Prepare and submit monthly management financial statements (MRs)
Prepare and update WIP reports each month with input from operations as needed.
Prepare account reconciliations.
Record journal entries.
Prepare and submit quarterly reporting package.
Analyze revenues, expenses and balance sheet items as needed.
Approve disbursements and liaise with banks.
Assist CFO with budgeting and forecasting exercises.
Primary contact for and coordinator of annual IFRS financial statement audit
Queries from and correspondence with head office accounting
Consistently meet reporting deadlines with a goal of no adjustments or corrections after submission

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTESBachelor's degree in accounting or financeMinimum 5 years relevant accounting and financial reporting experienceWorking knowledge of IFRS or US GAAPStrong quantitative skills and attention to detailExcellent communication skillsOrganized, able to manage multiple projects
