Serve as the instructional leader of the school.
Plan, organize, and direct implementation of all school activities.
Establish and maintain an effective learning climate in the school.

Provide leadership and accountability in working with all stakeholders to achieve standards and develop and improve the instructional programs of the school.

Direct and supervise the ongoing development & implementation of the School Improvement Plan and the Strategic Plan.
Direct the preparation & implementation of a master schedule for instruction.
Direct and supervise the school testing program and the use of data to improve instructional and related programs.

Prepare the school budget and make sure that all school financial activities comply with state audit requirements and Board Policy and procedures.

Promote high standards and expectations for academic performance and responsibility for behavior of students and staff.
Supervise the work of staff members with a focus on continuous improvement.
Conduct regular evaluations of job performance of all staff members.
Ensure that all student records are accurate and up-to-date.
Supervise the proper use and maintenance of buildings, grounds, furnishings, and equipment.
Ensure staff compliance with local policies, procedures, state and federal laws.
Supervise students in all situations.
Maintain discipline throughout the school.
Disseminate information about school disciplinary policies and procedures to parents, students and stakeholders.
Monitor safety on the school campus i.e., both students and employees.
Establish and maintain high standards of student conduct.
Assist in developing student and faculty handbooks.
Provide leadership for extracurricular and athletic activities.
Communicate program goals, objectives and policies to stakeholders.
Initiate timely and accurate communication with school and system staff.
Demonstrate ability to develop, implement, monitor and evaluate program goals and initiatives.
Serve as the school's advocate and regularly communicate with all stakeholders.
Recommend all school personnel to the superintendent for employment or dismissal.
Keep the superintendent informed of school activities and issues.
Serve on committees as assigned by the superintendent.
Perform other duties as assigned by the superintendent.
Additional ResponsibilitiesMaintain appropriate professional certificates.
Conduct assigned duties in a timely manner.
Participate in professional development.
Participate in staff meetings as determined by the superintendent.
Maintain accurate, complete and appropriate records and file reports promptly.
Abide by state and system policies.
Abide by the Code of Ethics for Educators as promulgated by the GaPSC.Minimum QualificationsMaster's Degree or higher in Educational LeadershipCertification

Valid Georgia Certificate in Educational Leadership Tier I, preference Tier 2Minimum of 3 years of successful teaching experience; with 3 years administrative experience preferredConsiderable knowledge of curriculum, instruction, assessment and professional learningThis position is open until filled.
