    • Demonstrate prompt and regular attendance.
    • Interact in a professional, constructive manner with all stakeholders.

    • Serve as the instructional leader of the school.
    • Plan, organize, and direct implementation of all school activities.
    • Establish and maintain an effective learning climate in the school.
    • Provide leadership and accountability in working with all stakeholders to achieve standards and develop and improve the instructional programs of the school.
    • Direct and supervise the ongoing development & implementation of the School Improvement Plan and the Strategic Plan.
    • Direct the preparation & implementation of a master schedule for instruction.
    • Direct and supervise the school testing program and the use of data to improve instructional and related programs.
    • Prepare the school budget and make sure that all school financial activities comply with state audit requirements and Board Policy and procedures.
    • Promote high standards and expectations for academic performance and responsibility for behavior of students and staff.
    • Supervise the work of staff members with a focus on continuous improvement.
    • Conduct regular evaluations of job performance of all staff members.
    • Ensure that all student records are accurate and up-to-date.
    • Supervise the proper use and maintenance of buildings, grounds, furnishings, and equipment.
    • Ensure staff compliance with local policies, procedures, state and federal laws.
    • Supervise students in all situations.
    • Maintain discipline throughout the school.
    • Disseminate information about school disciplinary policies and procedures to parents, students and stakeholders.
    • Monitor safety on the school campus i.e., both students and employees.
    • Establish and maintain high standards of student conduct.
    • Assist in developing student and faculty handbooks.
    • Provide leadership for extracurricular and athletic activities.
    • Communicate program goals, objectives and policies to stakeholders.
    • Initiate timely and accurate communication with school and system staff.
    • Demonstrate ability to develop, implement, monitor and evaluate program goals and initiatives.
    • Serve as the school's advocate and regularly communicate with all stakeholders.
    • Recommend all school personnel to the superintendent for employment or dismissal.
    • Keep the superintendent informed of school activities and issues.
    • Serve on committees as assigned by the superintendent.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the superintendent.
    Additional Responsibilities
    • Maintain appropriate professional certificates.
    • Conduct assigned duties in a timely manner.
    • Participate in professional development.
    • Participate in staff meetings as determined by the superintendent.
    • Maintain accurate, complete and appropriate records and file reports promptly.
    • Abide by state and system policies.
    • Abide by the Code of Ethics for Educators as promulgated by the GaPSC.
    Minimum Qualifications
    • Master's Degree or higher in Educational Leadership
    • Certification - Valid Georgia Certificate in Educational Leadership Tier I, preference Tier 2
    • Minimum of 3 years of successful teaching experience; with 3 years administrative experience preferred
    • Considerable knowledge of curriculum, instruction, assessment and professional learning

    Principal Supplement & 12 month contract

    State Salary Scale plus local supplement (commensurate with experience and certification); Teacher Retirement, Social Security, Health and flex benefits.
