Summary:
This position is located in the Office of Information Management and Liaison, Visa Services Directorate, Bureau of Consular Affairs (CA/VO/I). As a Program Analyst, you will lead analyses related to visa adjudication, screening, and name check automated systems for Visa Services.

  • Duties:
  • Serves as information systems liaison with border inspection, immigration, and law enforcement agencies, as well as foreign partners.
  • Analyses, evaluates, and develops operational requirements, implementation strategies, and training programs for visa processing.
  • Researches, analyzes, interprets, and evaluates the impact of visa legislation and regulations, procedural and policy proposals, on visa systems development.
  • Conducts studies of data from visa systems reporting and applies statistical methods for operational improvements.

Requirements:
Conditions of Employment:
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
U.S. Citizenship required.

  • Qualifications:
  • Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level involving developing design plans for visa systems, conducting analyses on visa adjudication methods, and representing agencies for decision-making.
  • Education: No substitute for specialized experience for GS-13 position.
