- Travel and attend pre-bid and post-bid meetings as needed
- Organize Electronic Files
- Communicate any missing information or deficiencies to our clients to ensure that we have all information that was intendent and required to complete accurate cost proposal.
- Determines total cost of materials, equipment, utilities, and labor for construction.
- Research construction documents and analyzes specifications.
- Reviews RFPs/Design Docs and prepares RFIs as needed.
- Coordinate scope requirements with subcontractors and vendors.
- Prepares estimates for planning, organizing, and scheduling project work.
- Manges pre-qualification and pre-bid submissions
- Prepares estimates to meet project goals.
- Creates the project BOM (Bill of Materials) for the estimate and submits for pricing.
- Ensures that relevant documents and budgets are submitted before a bid deadline.
- Note all assumptions, clarifications and exclusions for incorporation into proposal.
- Attend bid review meetings and be fully prepared to discuss the details of your portion of the scope.
- Regularly reports to Management and keeps clients updated on the project status.
- Formulates contingency plans and effectively manages risks that might impact cost and time estimates.
- Collaborates with other teams and conducts site visits.
- Assists with project management tasks as needed.
- Maintains an elevated level of professionalism with clients, vendors, and colleagues; works to establish a positive working relationship.
- Provides timely and completed documentation of work performed.
- Attend weekly preconstruction meetings with entire team.
- Operates vehicles and other equipment safely; adheres to safety protocols; reports hazards and risks; behavior contributes to a safe and secure working environment.
- Bachelors degree and/or equivalent education and experience.
- 5+ years of Estimating experience.
- Data Center experience.
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Applied Science or Architecture field.
- 7+ years of Electrical/Mechanical Estimating Experience.
