We are seeking a skilled Assembler to join our team. As an Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling and fabricating various components and products.

This position requires mechanical knowledge, the ability to use hand and power tools, and experience working in a warehouse environment.

Monday-Thursday 7:00 AM - 4:15 PM & Friday 7:00 AM - 12:00 Noon


Job Title:
Manufacturing Assembler/Engineered Systems


Reports To:
Production Manager: Engineered Systems/Electrics/Portables


FLSA Status:
Non-Exempt


Summary:
Responsible for building, filling and packing IT services/engineered systems by performing the following duties.

Maintains and enforces adherence to meet the requirements of the Quality Management System as well as the Marine Equipment Directive (MED) and the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED).


Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned.)

  • Assemble system subassemblies from purchased components.
  • Assemble valves on cylinders.
  • Fill systems and packs orders from a Bill of Material.
  • Pack and label shipments properly per DOT regulations for dangerous goods.
  • Recycle Halon from decommissioned systems.
  • Maintain engineered system inventory and submit requisition for parts as required.
  • Adapt to constantly changing priorities.
  • React to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations.
  • Use electronic devices for data entry (tablets/PCs).
  • Communication with customers and including technical support.

Education/Experience:


High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Language Ability:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.


Math Ability:


Reasoning Ability:


Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.


Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of basic manufacturing software.

$ $18.45 per hour
