    Our client is a Global Hedge Fund who are looking for a Software Engineer to assist a Portfolio Manager in their New York Office.

    The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing high-quality applications and passionate about data and about building efficient pipelines for data processing as part of an investment team They will also be responsible for designing and implementing testable and scalable code and advising the Portfolio Manger on the best solutions to solve the problems.

    The applications will aid the Implementation of Trading Strategies, support portfolio construction, and support portfolio decision making.

    You will be supporting a single Portfolio Manager, who trades a range of asset classes, with support from wider engineering team across the whole business.

    Responsibilities
    Develop quality software and applications
    Design highly scalable, testable code
    Develop workflows in technology, analysis and data.
    Collaboratively develop data platform tools for use in investment thesis generation and testing
    Build infrastructure solutions for data pipelines at various scales
    Design and implement high-performing and robust libraries of re-usable tools for utilization in research processes
    Design, maintain and monitor automated quantitative screening of investment strategies
    Qualifications
    4+ years of professional software engineering experience
    Excellent Python and data science libraries (Pandas, NumPy) skills
    Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Applied Maths or a related Quantitative field
    Experience working with a variety of data storage and manipulation tools such as SQL, Pandas, Elasticsearch & Kibana, Snowflake
    Experience with cloud, container and micro service infrastructures (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, AWS, GCP)
