    Overview of Responsibilities

    As a Medical Assistant, you will provide essential clinical and administrative support to healthcare professionals in our hospital-affiliated clinics. Duties range from patient intake and documentation to preparing exam rooms, maintaining supplies, and offering general assistance. You may also assist with basic medical procedures under supervision, requiring flexibility across various specialty areas.

    • Document patient history accurately in EMR and retrieve test results before appointments
    • Manage patient flow efficiently and assist with form completion
    • Conduct clinical tasks like vital sign measurement, specimen collection, EKGs, medication administration, and record-keeping
    • Support patient check-out by arranging follow-up tests, referrals, and securing authorizations
    • Prepare exam rooms, ensure equipment readiness, and handle specimens following protocol
    • Perform general office duties such as filing, faxing, and assisting with administrative tasks
    • Assist in transporting stable patients for tests or treatment
    • Participate in departmental safety initiatives and communicate updates regularly

    Requirements

    Educational Criteria:
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or possess Medical Assistant Certification

    Licenses/Certification

    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
    • Valid Medical Assistant certification and/or diploma
    • Preferably Certified Medical Assistant

    Experience:

    · Minimum 1 year experience in a medical setting or similar environment
