:Position Summary
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate CCOF and GAP records, ensuring organic farming standards compliance.
- Conduct farm inspections to monitor food safety protocol adherence.
- Provide administrative support, including data entry, recordkeeping, and correspondence.
- Coordinate appointments, meetings, and training for food safety initiatives.
- Prepare reports and summaries of inspection findings and corrective actions.
- Communicate effectively with staff and stakeholders in English and Spanish.
- Assist in inventory management of food safety supplies and equipment.
- Handle incoming correspondence and inquiries related to food safety.
- Organize and maintain files and reference materials for food safety protocols.
- Ensure confidentiality and security of sensitive information and records.
- Review documents for accuracy and completeness, correcting errors as needed.
- Prioritize tasks based on urgency and compliance requirements.
Requirements:
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in food safety or agriculture is a plus.
- Previous experience in a farm or agricultural setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain detailed records and documentation.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Spanish, with the ability to read, write, and speak fluently.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and positive attitude.
- Knowledge of CCOF and GAP standards is an advantage.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality.
- Physical ability to walk around the farm, conduct inspections, and perform administrative tasks as needed is mandatory.
License/Certifications
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to pass a soft criminal/background check
