Position Summary

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate CCOF and GAP records, ensuring organic farming standards compliance.
  • Conduct farm inspections to monitor food safety protocol adherence.
  • Provide administrative support, including data entry, recordkeeping, and correspondence.
  • Coordinate appointments, meetings, and training for food safety initiatives.
  • Prepare reports and summaries of inspection findings and corrective actions.
  • Communicate effectively with staff and stakeholders in English and Spanish.
  • Assist in inventory management of food safety supplies and equipment.
  • Handle incoming correspondence and inquiries related to food safety.
  • Organize and maintain files and reference materials for food safety protocols.
  • Ensure confidentiality and security of sensitive information and records.
  • Review documents for accuracy and completeness, correcting errors as needed.
  • Prioritize tasks based on urgency and compliance requirements.

Requirements:


Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in food safety or agriculture is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a farm or agricultural setting is preferred but not required.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain detailed records and documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Spanish, with the ability to read, write, and speak fluently.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and positive attitude.
  • Knowledge of CCOF and GAP standards is an advantage.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality.
  • Physical ability to walk around the farm, conduct inspections, and perform administrative tasks as needed is mandatory.

License/Certifications

  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to pass a soft criminal/background check
