Position Start Date:
June 27, 2024 (summer session), September 1, 2024


Essential Duties:


  • Maintain responsibility for the student life program of 1618 students
  • Develop a program for, and guide, each student in areas of executive function, time management, organization etc with the goal being the internalization of these processes before graduation and enrollment in college.
  • Oversee morning routines
  • Supervise evening study hall
  • Facilitate clubs and activities or coach a sport
  • Maintain consistent expectations for appropriate faculty/student and student/student interactions
  • Administrate appropriate education in and out of the dormitory as assigned by the Assistant Head of School for Student Life
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the parents and family of students under the dorm counselor's supervision.
  • Complete satisfactorily all necessary reports and records needed for parents, Eagle Hill School, or related agencies
  • Participate in rotational weekend duties and holiday sendoff/return transportation responsibilities as assigned
  • Attend all training sessions, opening day, faculty meetings, parent conferencing, graduation and technology training unless excused by the Head of School or is designee
  • Assume other responsibilities as assigned by the Assistant Head of School for Student Life

Qualifications:


  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • Highly ethical, with the ability to deal with sensitive and confidential information
  • Possess a level of maturity and confidence necessary to deal effectively with faculty, parents, administrators, trustees and a high school age population
  • Appreciation for working with learning (dis)abled students
  • Prompt and thoughtful followthrough
  • Bachelor's degree required. Masters degree with focus on education, psychology or related field preferred
