Description
Quality Welding Tech for Illini Castings, LLC will be in charge of overseeing all aspects of quality control on the reconditioning process of couplers, yokes, bolsters and side frames along with any further applicable reconditioned materials.
Quality Welding tech participates in scheduled and unscheduled inspections to verify that products, at various stages of processing, conform to the requirements as defined by the customer and/or internal requirements.
DUTIES:
- Required to learn and follow current QA Manual along with the guidelines of the AAR M1003 Certification and M212/M214 while being able to update any new standards and practices released by the AAR.
- Required to train new employees on the QA practices of Illini Castings under the guidance of Director of Operations and additional Management.
- Required to prepare for and execute all AAR audits along with necessary adjustments to any particular findings.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Calipers, Micrometers, Tape Measure / Steel Rule, Depth Gages and Surface Finish Gages.
- Understands sense of urgency
- Calculator (perform basic functions)
- Must be able to interpret and comprehend the following:
- Mechanical drawings and specifications
- Software / Database: MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), E2 (ERP System), PC-DMIS & Quick Measure
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Adhere to all safety protocols, to all quality system requirements and to all environmental requirements
Pay:
$ $19.00 per hour
Expected hours:
No less than 40 per week
