Overview:
The setting is a community college, which is Prairie State College in Chicago Heights Illinois.


The Editing Instructor will educate and teach program participants on content mediums such as camera footage, dialogue, sound effects, graphics, and special effects to produce a final film or video product.

This instruction provides a key role in improving the post-production processes and skills to becoming a professional content producer in the gaming industry.

The editing contractor will teach video storage, uploading footage, cutting footage, task management software, managing and creating organizational spreadsheets, data management, creating and marketing videos, how to produce videos on social media, how to edit professional videos and content, motion graphics and streams for events, creating and editing YouTube channels, how to edit and create logo animations and thumbnails, and graphic templates for videos.

The Editing Instructor will educate and teach other components listed in his resume. The Editing Instructor will assist in marketing the program to potential participants and other organizations.

We are seeking a talented Video Editor to join our creative team.

As a Video Editor, you will be responsible for assembling recorded footage into a finished project that aligns with the client's vision.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your editing skills and creativity in producing high-quality video content.


Responsibilities:


  • Edit video content for various projects, including commercials, social media videos, and promotional materials
  • Collaborate with the creative team to understand project requirements and deliver visually appealing content
  • Ensure all edited videos align with the brand's guidelines and meet quality standards
  • Incorporate music, dialogue, graphics, and effects to enhance the final product
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines efficiently
  • Stay updated on industry trends and editing techniques to enhance video quality

Qualifications:

  • Proven work experience as a Video Editor or similar role
  • Proficient in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools
  • Strong understanding of video production processes from shooting to editing
  • Creative mindset with a keen eye for detail and storytelling
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work in a fastpaced environment
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience in color correction and audio editing
  • Knowledge of motion graphics and animation software
  • Understanding of different video formats for various platforms
  • Ability to work on both PC and Mac platforms
