Job Summary:
The Utility A Start is a bargaining unit position which requires general knowledge and ability to perform basic construction related skills and utility skills such as, but not limited to, use of air and hand tools, equipment operation, pipefitting, meter reading, line locating, shut offs, vehicle safety, safe material handling, afterhours work, and exposure to weather.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Construction and maintenance activities
- Line Locating
- Meter work (building and replacing)
- Turn ons and light ups
- Call out when judged qualified
- Perform other duties as assigned by management and supervision
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must possess a valid PA Driver's License
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Good mechanical skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Available for shift work and call out after hours when qualified
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3 years' experience preferred
- CDL A required within 6 months of hire date
