Job Summary:
Responsible for general maintenance, safety and cleanliness of school. Responsible for storage and setting up equipment and furnishings.

Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Custodian - preferred


Job Responsibilities:

• Cleans and maintains school building
• Stores, organizes and cares for furniture and other school equipment
• Makes minor repairs
• Uses master keys to unlock/lock the doors/closets
• Keeps inventory
• Responds to emergency/weather situations (flooding, snow, heating)
• Sets up food serving equipment/utensils and furniture for meetings
• Removes waste and transports outside
• Cleans outdoor playground and insures the safety and integrity of play equipment
• Brings in outside equipment daily
• Paints classrooms
• Service air conditioning (filters)
• Replaces and/or repairs ceiling panels as necessary
• Conductspreliminary investigation of electrical/plumbing/heating problems
• Perform any duties and responsibilities that are within the scope of employment, as assigned by their supervisor and not otherwise prohibited by law or regulation
• Notify school of absences due to illness, emergency leave, normal vacation periods, or professional meetings that will affect agreed upon services in the school
• Treat all children with dignity and respect
• Climb a ladder
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds

Pay:
$ $18.00 per hour
