Description

Our client in Niles, Illinois is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician/Electrician for the 2nd shift (2-10PM). The primary responsibilities of this role involve ensuring all electrical schematics and instrumentation are up-to-date, troubleshooting equipment during unscheduled downtime, and conducting repairs and preventive maintenance services.

Key responsibilities include:

Responding to emergency equipment repairs during production
Performing scheduled maintenance on production equipment in a multi-shift setting
Conducting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repairs
Implementing Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles to optimize production
Maintaining and repairing facility equipment
Participating in special projects and other assigned duties

Qualifications for the role:

Demonstrated experience in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic applications
Ability to read electrical schematics with a preference for vocational maintenance training
Basic knowledge of computers and operating systems
Physical capabilities to handle various tasks such as climbing stairs, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, standing, and more
Strong problem-solving skills to assess product output against specifications
Capacity to multitask and drive process improvements as required
