West 2 is a 22 bed acute care for Adults ages 19-55 in a behavioral health unit.
The unit is dedicated to providing exceptional care to people in our community with mental health and substance abuse illness.
We established a philosophy of caring for patients who need mental health services with kindness, respect and dignity, while we provide them with a supportive environment and treatment to help them heal.
Our primary objective is to help our patients to get better so they can live better lives.Job Purpose The Milieu Counselor is a member of the multidisciplinary team who, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, is responsible for a safe and structured service, as well as attending to the individual needs of patients in crisis in an inpatient psychiatric setting.
Qualifications/Experience:
High School graduate or GED required. Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required.
1 year previous mental health experience in a Psych locked unit strongly preferred.
