Stepan is seeking an Accounts Receivable Manager to join our Corporate Finance team in Northbrook, IL. In this role, you will report to the VP & Corporate Controller.This job is a "hands on" position that will lead and manage all aspects of the Corporate A/R Department to ensure all shipments/deliveries have been processed and invoiced timely and accurately.
This role also has oversight to ensure all cash received is applied timely and accurately to customer accounts. This position will work closely with the Credit/Collections, A/P, Treasury, Customer Service and Commercial groups within Stepan.- Key Responsibilities:
- Management and supervisory oversight of the Corporate A/R Department.
- Ensure all shipments/deliveries have been processed and invoiced timely and accurately.
- Ensure there is proper supporting documentation prior to releasing all credit memos.
- Ensure all cost supports are processed timely and accurately.
- Management of all departmental monthend closing tasks, inclusive of ensuring all invoices have been released, all customer consignment billings have been completed, A/R cash account reconciliations have been completed, etc.
- Review and analyze current policies and procedures with the intent to implement bestpractices and optimize the endtoend process.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of seven years of A/R experience with three years of management experience.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
- Willing to be hands on and "roll up your sleeves".
- Strong work ethic and commitment to departmental success.
- Ability to prioritize, take initiative and resolve issues.
- Attention to detail and continuous process improvement mindset.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree required
