IT Support Specialist

8:30-5:30 pm, with some evening/weekend hours on occasion
Seeking a very detail-oriented I.T.

Support Specialist with the desire to join a positive, team-oriented company with a family-feel who has been providing small to mid-sized businesses with IT support in the Washington, DC area for over 20 years.

We are growing and we're ready for you to join us to provide fully managed IT, help desk support, cloud and cybersecurity solutions for our local clients.

Working at various client sites and remotely, the I.T.

Support Specialist role must exemplify strong customer service skills and a good understanding of computers, servers and networks as well as building, troubleshooting, and maintaining:

workstations, servers, network equipment, and Cloud Service, like Microsoft 365 (admin level) and others via remote and on-site support.

Additionally, we'll ask for your help in creating and updating procedures as needed and making sure client needs are met _and _ exceeded.

Is This You?

  • 3+ years of experience providing your customers with solid and quick resolutions to their tech troubles.
  • A love of engineering, configuring, and implementing the RIGHT solutions for stability and continuity in business environments.
  • A team player in a remote environment. Whether at the client site or working remotely, we work together to get the job done.
  • An ability to work on multiple priorities or projects simultaneously (we are a small team and even though we have each other's backs, each team member must be able to work autonomously)
  • A critical thinker with excellent organization skills who knows when to jump in and take the initiative and when it is time to ask for help.
  • Problemsolving oriented, a great troubleshooter, resourceful and detail oriented
  • You know how to find answers and when to delegate.

IT Support Specialist

  • Enjoys exercising great interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills with clients AND Team Members
  • Able to leap tall buildings in a single bound or, at least, able to lift 35lbs and crawl under desks when necessary.

What Kind of Tech Can You Expect to Work On?

  • Fully managed cloud and onsite services
  • Virtualization based on VMware and Microsoft
  • Microsoft 365 experience: Azure AD, Exchange, SharePoint, Intune, Office
Applications, Teams, etc.

  • Centralized management and monitoring technologies for Apple and Windows (RMM Tools e.g., ConnectWise or Addigy)
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2019/2016/2012/2008/200
  • Windows 10/8/7 operating systems
  • Active Directory
  • Microsoft SQL Server Management
  • Understanding of Windows firewall, DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP protocols
  • Storage, backup and business continuity expertise (SAN, NAS, etc.)
  • Comfortable with CLI and PowerShell
  • Knowledge and ability configuring and maintaining PC and/or Apple enduser computer hardware (and OS) as well as troubleshooting printerrelated issues.
  • Experience with IT audits and assessments (a nice to have)
