Duties:


  • Provide clerical/administrative and automation support for FAP using multiple computer systems and technologies and Family Advocacy System of Records (FASOR) to produce a wide variety of documents.
  • Operate a personal computer to input, store, retrieve and manipulate data and create graphics as well as to complete required training.
  • Manage active and inactive files and records reflecting status of assigned suspense actions; report and follow up on late suspense, providing courtesy reminders as needed; maintains related statistical data and prepares monthly reports.

  • This position has specific initial background investigation and periodic reverification requirements since its duties require interaction with children and youth under the age of eighteen (18) years of age on a recurring basis.
  • Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
  • This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement less than 25% of the time.

Specialized Experience: one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service which includes: 1) Providing clerical/administrative and automation support using multiple computer systems and technologies, to include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Teams); 2) Performing record keeping and filing electronic and paper records in accordance with prescribed policies and guidance; 3) Preparing correspondence and/or reports ensuring correct grammar and format; 4) Providing customer service, answering phone calls, greeting patients and/or visitors and referring them to the appropriate channels.

Qualified Typist: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.


Education:

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone-no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
