TO QUALIFY

Qualified applicants must possess and maintain a State of Florida Class "E" Driver License; are at least 19 years of age; must meet the education requirement of 45 semester hours (for full academy sponsorship), 60 semester hours (for Out-of-State and Florida Certified law enforcement officers) or the requirements for exemption of college hours based on three (3) years of military or two (2) years of sworn law enforcement experience (corrections experience does not qualify); and must meet all criteria of the City's current "Selection Standards for Police Officer Positions".
