Full-Time Onsite Position

Our Award-Winning Client has received numerous accolades and operates on a national level. They are currently seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join their dynamic team. This role offers significant variety and professional growth opportunities across multiple medical settings.


Overview

  • Graduation from a Licensed Vocational Nurse Program and current license/permit as a vocational nurse in the State of Texas
  • 1+ year of Med/Surg or LTAC experience
  • Current AHA BLS required
  • LVNs must be IV Therapy Certified

Position Details:

Schedule: Full-Time; 2 Day shifts and 1 Night shift

Rotation: 4:3 rotating schedule


Job Selling Points:


  • Opportunity to work in various settings: Clinic, inpatient, med pass, outpatient, wound care, cell side care, ER, critical care

Responsibilities:


  • Provide nursing services, treatments, and diagnostic and preventive procedures appropriate for inmate care and safety
  • Administer prescribed medication and interpret physicians' orders
  • Assist physician with sick call when present
  • Observe signs and symptoms during sick call when the physician is not present
  • Check and record vital signs
  • Instruct inmates concerning discharge planning
  • Report reactions to treatments and medications as well as changes in inmates' emotional or physical condition
  • Instruct and supervise correctional staff concerning inmate health care and needs
  • Consult with the supervisor on problem cases
  • Check and order supplies
  • Maintain accurate medical records
  • Provide health care education to inmates

Qualifications:


Required:


  • Graduation from a Licensed Vocational Nurse Program
  • Current license/permit as a vocational nurse in the State of Texas
  • 1+ year of experience in ANY of the following:
  • Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg)
  • Clinical Documentation
  • Valid Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
  • Valid American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS)
  • IV Therapy Certified
