I am the medical director for the Sound Physicians hospitalist practice at Mercy Hospital in Buffalo, New York.I have proudly been a part of Sound for five years and welcome interest from physicians and advanced practice providers (APPs) coming out of training or desiring a career change.
We are a closely knit, established team of physicians and advanced practice providers, with the support of a clinical performance nurse.
Our team comprises clinicians from diverse geographic, educational, and training backgrounds who are supportive and collaborative with other staff and departments.
We have a great relationship with our medical staff office; We proudly sponsor H1B and J1 visa candidates, and Sound has excellent in-house visa specialists and our licensing and credentialing experts.
All required filing fees for the visa are paid, and services are coveredby Sound.We welcome the challenge of complex cases, working in a semi-open ICU with intensivist coverage during the day and E-ICU coverage at night.
We also have a closed ICU. However, our team is responsible for all the rapid response coverage for the entire hospital.Most of us like to spend time with our families or outdoors, so a flexible schedule is available, and we cover for each other when we're out.
We all have a common goal and help each other by switching shifts with colleagues if someone needs a day off on their scheduled work week.
