A top-rated seasoning, liquid marinade manufacturer, and food equipment distributor in the food industry is seeking a Maintenance Manager for multiple locations in Signal Hill to join our dynamic team


Under the direction of the Operations Director, the Maintenance Manager is responsible for the repair/replacement of plant equipment and systems, ensuring maximum production in quantity and quality while supporting the company's safety practices, policies, objectives, and goals.

The maintenance manager oversees and supervises the daily activities of the maintenance department.

The maintenance manager will use electrical and mechanical expertise to troubleshoot, repair, install, and perform preventative maintenance on all production equipment to ensure all equipment is always in good operable condition and is properly maintained to produce and package all products.


SCHEDULES AVAILABLE:

1st shift (5:00 AM-1:30 PM) (hours may vary)
Must have open availability and be able to work any shift and weekends.


Pay Rate:
$100k - $130k per year (based on experience) - Bi-Weekly Pay


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (list is not exhaustive of all duties/functions/requirements):

  • Effectively supervise direct reports for all hourly maintenance department employees.
  • Conduct daily walkthroughs of the facility, visual inspections, and checking for irregular or unusual noise or behaviors from the equipment.
  • Maintain equipment history reports for all utility services, processing, manufacturing, and packaging equipment.
  • Ensure the effective utilization of all equipment maintenance reporting, completion, and routine maintenance specific to the facility's equipment operations (SOPs).
  • Generate preventative maintenance formats for production, building, and service equipment.
  • Ensure proper safety training for all maintenance personnel.
  • Lead a team in measuring, assessing, and enhancing plant equipment capabilities and performance.
  • Ability to read electrical diagrams and have good electrical skills in power and control.
  • Experience with fabrication and assembly using hand/power tools, welding, soldering, and finding faulty components in defective products to fix them.
  • Manage maintenance department purchase orders and all supporting documents needed by accounts payable.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal electrical codes.
  • Experience with regulatory inspectors, such as BRC, OSHA, Health Department, EPA, and City and County Inspectors.
  • Work with the Director of Operations and Executive Management to develop and adhere to a Capital Budget.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Ability to read electrical diagrams and have good electrical skills in power and control.
  • Proficiency in electrical and PLC troubleshooting/programming/fabrication.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal electric codes.
  • Team supervision/leadership/development training skills.
  • Exceptional problemsolving skills and time workflow management skills.
  • Ability to work weekends, if required.
  • Strong safety knowledge and ability to follow all safety requirements.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
  • Bachelors degree or related QC / QA lab experience, with liquid experience preferred.
  • Must be familiar with general food safety and quality systems concepts (i.e., HACCP, etc.) or willing to learn.

  • Liquid: 2 years (preferred)
  • Fabrication: 5 years (preferred)
  • BRC: 5 years (preferred)

  • Electrical troubleshooting: 5 years (preferred)
Food Industry: 5 years (preferred)


License/Certification:

  • Driver's License (preferred)
