Paula Teacher & Associates, Inc. is hiring a
Part Time Activities Aide
to support individuals at the Torrance State Hospital Drop-In Center in Blairsville, PA. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys working with people, planning activities, and creating a welcoming engaging environment.
Pay
- $16 Per Hour
Schedule
- Saturdays: 8:00am-4:00pm
Location
Torrance State Hospital Drop-In Center
Responsibilities Include
Reliable Transportation is Required
- Plan, set up and lead recreational activities for participants
- Encourage and support active participants in activities
- Facilitate positive social interaction among participants
- Assist with light cooking and food preparation
- Perform general cleaning and basic facility upkeep
Qualifications
- Dependable and punctual
- Comfortable working with individuals in a group setting
- Able to follow directions and work independently when needed
- Must have reliable transportation to the center
Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a
Pennsylvania State Police Criminal History Background Check (Act 34)
. All applicants must be willing to undergo this background check as a condition of employment, in accordance with Pennsylvania law. A criminal record does not automatically disqualify a candidate from employment; each case will be evaluated based on the nature of the offense, the time elapsed, and its relevance to the position.
