Description

The Security Supervisor will supervise and coordinate the delivery of quality hospitality services to owners and guests during your shift.

Patrol and inspect property to protect against fire, theft, vandalism, terrorism, and illegal activity. Responsible for handling security equipment such as surveillance devices, alarms. Lead the security officers in their daily duties and communicate any instructions and policies from the Director.

  • Respond to incidents and accidents, and completes required reports to include statements from involved parties, including witnesses
  • Assist with training of all Loss Prevention staff members on emergency fire procedures, lock system operation, response to all security issues, video camera operation, and fundamental escort procedures.
  • Complete daily security reports for the Director of Security.
  • Follow proper key control guidelines in loss prevention and in the property
  • Follows process/guidelines/procedures for the protection of owners, guests and team members.
  • Handles complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts
  • Responds to emergencies, investigations (e.g., initial follow up) for all owners/guests and team member related incidents
  • Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry
  • Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; keeps trespassers off property
  • Assist in directing and administering the patrol of the interior of and the perimeter of the hotel and the property to observe and identify potential safety risks, security risks, controls traffic by directing drivers
  • Assist your team or other departments with any other relevant duties.
2-3 years of job-related experience.

Must have open flexible availability during the weekends, holidays and busy season

Extensive knowledge of security practices and procedures.

Valid State Issued Driver's License

Strong interpersonal communications skills

Valid guard card/license, as required in the state (D-License)

Must have excellent reading, writing skills

High School graduate or GED equivalent.

Prior experience in hotel/hospitality environment a plus.

Work in various environments such as heat, cold weather, or rain

Occasionally lift or carry up to 30 pounds

Climb stairs or ramps, occasionally during shift

Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time
