Job Summary:

Duties:


  • Translate written documents, such as articles, reports, and correspondence, from one language to another
  • Interpret spoken conversations or speeches during meetings, conferences, or interviews
  • Proofread translated materials for accuracy and clarity
  • Transcribe audio recordings into written documents
  • Write summaries or synopses of translated materials
  • Collaborate with other translators or linguists to ensure consistency in translations
  • Research specialized terminology and industryspecific vocabulary to enhance translation accuracy

Qualifications:

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and at least one other language
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both languages
  • Proven ability to accurately interpret and translate between languages
  • Excellent proofreading skills with attention to detail
  • Knowledge of linguistic principles and concepts
  • Familiarity with translation software and tools is a plus
