    ASSEMBLY OPERATOR POSITIONS

    SHIFTS: 3RD (10P-630A), 1ST (6A-230P) AND 2ND (2P-1030P)

    WAGES NOW STARTING AT $17.50 PER HOUR PLUS $0.75 SHIFT PREMIUM FOR WORKING 2ND OR 3RD SHIFT

    REFERRAL BONUSES OFFERED AT 90 DAYS OF UP TO $1000

    POSITION SUMMARY

    Load and unload, activate to place parts in automatic welder. Responsible for quality and safety.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB

    • Remove parts from baskets/containers or offload conveyor
    • Load/transfer parts on fixtures as required
    • Activate welder
    • 100% inspection of automatic welds, nuts, and studs
    • Place rejected parts in designated area
    • Maintain performance standard
    • Maintain Quality Standards (TS16949 or IATF)
    • Process hourly/daily paperwork as required
    • Housekeeping- contribute to the effort to maintain a clean and safe work environment
    • Adhere to all safety rules and regulations and report all incidents and unsafe conditions
    • Participate in activities to support continuous improvement
    • Other duties as assigned

    QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

    Experience: Previous manufacturing experiences a plus but will provide on-the-job training for potential candidates.

    Training and Skills:

    • Ability to complete visual quality inspections
    • Ability to read and follow written work instructions and safety guidelines.
    • Good verbal communication skills as evidenced in peer relations.
    • Ability to work independently at multiple stations as a member of the production team
    • Ability to lift/pull/push loads of 10-40 lbs at an expected rate
    • Ability to work in an upright/standing position for up to 8 hours at a time
    • Ability to operate production line equipment including a weld tool and rivet guns
    • Maintain a good attendance record
    • Ability to work a flexible schedule
    • Ability to work as a team member
    • Basic understanding of Quality Management System and Environmental Management System standards

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    • While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, product, or equipment.
    • The associate is regularly required to talk and hear.
    • The associate is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms in operating or repairing equipment, welding, grinding or conducting inspection.
    • The associate must regularly lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
    • Climbing stairs
    • Repetitive lifting up to 40 pounds continuously 8+ hours per day
    • Bending and stooping continuously 8+ hours per day
    • Standing continuously 8+ hours per day
    • Reaching – repetitive extension of arms 8+ hours per day
    • Depth perception

    WORK ENVIRONMENT AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

    While performing the duties of this job, the associate regularly works near moving equipment. The noise level in the work environment is very loud.
