We are currently seeking experienced and passionate individuals to join our team as Music Directors/Teaching Artists for our Arts Reaching Youth Summer Camp.

This is an exceptional opportunity for dedicated professionals who are adept at working with children aged 5 to 18. The position is part-time and requires availability from July 8th to August 23rd, Monday through Friday.


Responsibilities:


  • Collaborate with a coteacher to design and implement an engaging musical theatre
curriculum, tailored to the interests and skill levels of campers aged 5 to 1- Lead and supervise musical activities, including instrument playing, singing, and

composition. Provide guidance and support to students as they explore their musical

talents.

  • Accompany students during rehearsals and performances, offering instruction in music
theory, sight-reading, and ensemble singing.

  • Mentorship: Serve as a mentor and role model for campers, promoting teamwork,
creativity, and self-expression through music.

  • Performance Preparation: Assist with the planning and execution of recitals and sound
checks, guiding students in rehearsal techniques and stage presence.


Requirements:


  • Demonstrated experience in theater production, musical directing, or performing arts
instruction.

  • High level of proficiency in piano/sightreading skills, with expertise in accompanying
and coaching vocalists.

  • Deep understanding of acting principles and singing techniques, with the ability to
effectively impart knowledge to students.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate
effectively with co-teachers and staff members.

  • Enthusiasm for music education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and inclusive
learning environment.


Schedule:

Part-time, $60 per hour, Monday to Friday, 9:15 am - 12:50 pm Opportunity for future employment in the Fall.
