Under the direction of the Regional Program Coordinator, the Resident Service Coordinator oversees the operations of the Si Se Puede Community Center programs and related activities.

This position involves the use of judgment, supervisory ability, and skills in resident/community planning. The position requires implementing and supervising programs, classes and activities for effectiveness. The position requires supervision of residents and volunteers.
Resident Service Coordinators are required to outreach to the community and establish partnership when needed. This is a full-time position that works with elementary aged and senior (55+) residents, with time equally divided
between both populations.


Responsibilities:


  • Maintain all ethical practices of the Cesar Chavez Foundation by serving the community with character, integrity, dignity, and a high degree of professionalism
  • Manage all Si Se Puede Community Center Programs, which consist of an Afterschool Program, Resident Social Services, Senior Services Program, Health and Wellness, Adult Education and Community Outreach
  • Report child, adult and elder abuse and neglect according to state law.
  • Friendly, outgoing personality that establishes a welcoming environment within the facility for members and visitors
  • Skill in maintaining record keeping and document retention systems and in compiling comprehensive reports
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationship with employees, participants and partnerships.
  • Actively participate with other staff working toward resident's stability.

Requirements:


  • Preferred
  • Have at least 48 units of college credit from a twoyear accredited college or related experience in Education/Youth Development/Community Services
  • Preferably bilingual (Spanish)
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Word/Excel/Access) required
  • Able to work in a fastpaced environment
  • Live scan Fingerprint/ background check
  • Must provide proof of a negative TB test result taken within the last 2 years
  • A valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record for the past three years
  • Must be First Aid/CPR/AED certified (or obtain within 30 days) and maintain those certifications
  • Essential Worker Position (This is not a work from home position) Abilities:

  • The ability to create partnerships to ensure all site/programming requirements are being met.

  • Ability to work flexible hours including evening and weekends as necessary.

Physical demands and work environment:


The physical demands and work environment characteristics are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential job functions, duties, and responsibilities.

The employee frequently is required to stand and walk. The employee may be required to use hands and fingers and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stoop and kneel. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.

Most of the employee's time is spent in an office setting; however, the employee may be called upon to work outdoors in all types of weather.

Additional tasks may be assigned.

Wage Range:

$15.00-$19.00 per hour DOE
