- Define, prioritize, and implement a comprehensive MDM strategy and operating model, transforming how data is sourced, managed, standardized, governed, and consumed
- Provide thought leadership, pragmatic input, and detailed requirements in building the target state MDM capabilities to support a variety of business models
- Build relationships with stakeholders and work cross-functionally to identify areas of opportunities, process improvements, and data/technology-enabled innovations to define our data orchestration framework
- Lead the MDM Product roadmap and bring "greenfield" thinking to improve master data and drive operational transformation and innovation
- Participate in the design and implementation of our next generation data pipelines/platforms for the construction industry
- Actively collaborate with our engineering teams in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, functional and technical design, development, testing and roll-out, and support
- Lead technical design of solutions for data teams to build new data services and products for internal stakeholders
- Work alongside our Product, Revenue, Finance and other internal teams, leveraging your experience and expertise in the data space to influence our product roadmap, developing innovative solutions that add additional capabilities to our tools
- Help uplevel teammates by conducting code reviews, providing mentorship, pairing, and training opportunities
- Performance tune and monitor data infrastructure to support a growing organization.
- Develop data infrastructure that ingest and transforms data from different sources and customers at scale.
- Partner end-to-end with Business Managers, Product Managers and Data Scientists to understand customer requirements and design prototypes and bring ideas to production
- Work with internal business leaders to ingest data to enrich their data modeling and work products.
- Participate in conversations with your business teams about business impacting topics and brainstorm innovative ways to transform data into information and knowledge that drives revenue and reduces cost.
- Influence cross team/matrix organization, provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members
- BS degree in Computer Science, Management Information systems or a similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience is required
- 7+ years of industry experience in data engineering and data pipeline operation or related fields
- Robust experience with Relational Database Systems and SQL
- Extensive experience designing, developing, and implementing ETL
- Strong track record of leading teams and projects across many disciplines including data warehousing, business intelligence, application development, operations
- Familiarity with database modeling, data warehousing principles; Strength in commonly used data technologies and languages such as Java or Scala or Python, Spark
- Experience fostering a strong engineering culture in an agile environment
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
- Excellent presentation skills; ability to distill complex analysis and concepts into concise business-focused takeaways

As Sr Manager, Data Engineering you'll lead a group of Data Engineers to build a data platform to provide all capabilities related to transporting, transforming and processing data-in-motion and deliver and maintain reliable data stores.

This position will report into the Sr Director , Data Engineering Procore Data Platform - DTS, and has the opportunity to be based in our Carpinteria, CA /Austin, TX or Remote. We're looking for someone to join us immediately.

Base Pay Range $185,800 - $255,475. Eligible for Bonus Incentive Compensation.
