Job Summary:

Develop and manages 403(b) Team to ensure smooth operation of plans, client relationships and advisor communications to include superior customer service, consistently meeting quotas and standards and troubleshooting/problem resolution when necessary.


Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for the direction and day to day functions of the TIAA Team
  • Develop and maintain a full understanding of the contracts, arrangements and regulatory requirements associated with providing our services with particular attention to unique requirements of particular situations.
  • Manage Team of Account Managers and Administrators as their first point of contact for resolving higher level client matters as well as office related matters
  • Possibly manage a small caseload of 510 clients.
  • Document, improve, and update training for new account managers.
  • Document, improve, and update processes and procedures for account managers.
  • Approve and Manage staff time off requests and ensures policy/procedures are adhered to as it relates to working from home and work schedules
  • Monitor staff performance, including performance reviews.
  • Work with HR and RVP to create Performance Improvement Plans (PIP) when an employee issue is identified.
  • Delegate work duties to staff as needed.
  • Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, training, and retaining employees.
  • Maintain vendor relationships and determine best practices for Pentegra to better serve clients.
  • Provide staff with vendor training, 403(b), and compliance training as needed.
  • Provide service agreement oversight to ensure that terms of the agreement are being followed.
  • Ensure that SalesForce data as it relates to plans is maintained and followed.
  • Meet with team and individuals weekly or as needed to ensure timely, accurate delivery of our services.
  • Provide oversight for team's annual workflow status and reviews with team to ensure standards are met.
  • Complete special projects as assigned

Requirements:


  • 5+ years of supervisory or management experience in the qualified retirement plan industry
  • Extensive knowledge of ERISA, IRS & DOL regulations regarding qualified plans, including 403(b) plans
  • Strong 403(b) compliance Knowledge
  • Strong organizational, communication and analytical skills
  • Maintain high level of professionalism with staff, clients & advisors
  • Positive attitude and invoke "team player" ethic in all situations
  • Able to work independently and exercise good judgment in decision making situations
  • Commitment to teamwork and professional development
  • Multiple Employer Plan experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of Relius compliance software, FT Williams Government forms
  • ASPPA designations or be willing to obtain designations
Fiduciary Services knowledge a plus
