1.0 Purpose

1.1 To provide a pleasant and positive delivery experience for All Seasons Living customers.
1.2 To support All Seasons Living sales efforts by timely and carefully unloading, assembling, moving, and delivering merchandise.

2.0 Organizational Position

2.1 Reports to All Seasons Living's General Manager.
2.2 Will work directly with other sales staff, as well as other assembly/delivery personnel.

3.0 Job Profile

3.1 Essential functions & duties

3.1.1 Unloading incoming shipments and move into the store using forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and carts.
3.1.2 Assembling furniture using common hand and power tools.
3.1.3 Moving assembled furniture on showroom floor.
3.1.4 Loading, delivering, and unloading assembled furniture.
3.1.5 Driving delivery vehicles, including a trailer on occasion.

3.2 Other functions & duties

3.2.1 Other miscellaneous tasks to support General Manager and sales personnel.

3.3 Physical demands

3.3.1 Ability to safely lift up to 100 lbs.
3.3.2 Ability to push pallet jacks, hand trucks, and wheeled carts.
3.3.3 Ability to stand for long periods of time.

3.4 Working conditions and environment

3.4.1 Indoor, climate-controlled environment for assembly, unloading freight and loading delivery truck outdoors.
3.4.2 Air-conditioned delivery truck.

4.0 Person profile

4.1 Education

4.1.1 High School diploma

4.2 Knowledge & skills

4.2.1 Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and wheeled carts.
4.2.2 Ability to read and interpret assembly instructions.
4.2.3 Knowledge of basic power and hand tools (mostly screw drivers and impact guns, both manual and powered.)
4.2.4 Ability to work effectively with others.
4.2.5 A proactive attitude, with the desire to follow through on open issues.
4.2.6 Must have a valid driver's license.
4.2.7 Ability to drive and back up a cargo van, occasionally pulling a trailer.

4.3.1 Experience in any sort of assembly or with hand tools.
4.3.2 Experience operating a GPS or reading maps may be beneficial.

4.4 Language proficiencies

4.4.1 Must be proficient in written and spoken English.
4.4.2 Ability to communicate ideas and effectively in written and spoken form.

4.5 Physical requirements

4.5.1 Ability to lift items up to 100 lbs, and moving them using carts, dollies, etc.
4.5.2 Ability to operate a delivery van.
4.5.3 Ability to help move furniture around a showroom.
4.5.4 Ability to stand for long periods of time.
