    Supply Chain Analyst

    Toyota Material Handling Heavy Duty

    4407 Railroad East Chicago IN 46312

    (On-Site - only 20 miles from downtown Chicago)

    1st Shift 630 am to 3pm

    What We're Looking For:

    Toyota is seeking a Supply Chain Analyst that will participate in strategic outsourcing initiatives and synergy activities with other Toyota owned companies. Several initiatives the candidate will be tasked with will include vendor consolidation, strengthening supply base, cost analysis and key CR activities. We are seeking an individual that has a strong work ethic, is reliable and consider themselves a go-getter. This person should enjoy working both in an office setting and in the plant. We need someone with a desire to learn new skills, be part of a team, and advance within a growing company.

    • Degree (or working towards degree) in related field
    • in a procurement/supply chain role preferred
    • Computer skills - using Microsoft Office
    • and negotiation skills
    • to think critically and analyze complex problems
    • to communicate effectively, including the ability to read, write, and speak English clearly
    • to pass pre-employment background checks and drug screening
    • to work in the United States

    What You'll Be Doing:

    • in daily leadership meetings
    • in with Supply Chain Manager on strategic initiatives
    • in conference calls and meetings with suppliers
    • purchase orders and forecasts for most critical commodities and suppliers
    • and manage methods to visualize & track key supplier metrics for scoring purposes
    • Create competitive advantage through material and process cost analysis, effective negotiations, and contract management
    • and execute supply chain optimization projects, commodity strategy and synergy activity
    • close working relationships with other business functions such as supplier quality, engineering and operations
    • new outsourcing initiatives imperative to refining company core competencies
    • supplier relationships and help execute continuous improvement of supply chain policies
