    Description :
    A client of Insight Global's is looking to hire an Automation Engineer to join their team. This person will assist the company with its push to automate its distribution centers. For the first 1-2 months of the role, they will spend 75% of their time in North Georgia facilities. Around July they will be fully onsite at the Savannah, GA facility which is the pilot and permanent location.

    Currently, this automated cell project is nearing completion. This project has many individuals working together, such as Control Engineers, Robotic Engineers, Vision/Ignition Engineers, etc. This individual will be hands-on with the automation, specifically on the PLC and robotic side of things.

    They will be responsible for keeping the system operational by working on issues, downtime, troubleshooting code to continue to get it running.

    They will eventually hire a technician to assist with off shift and the Engineer will be responsible for training/overseeing this individual.

    The factory acceptation testing will begin in June and this individual will work with the team on conducting front end testing/training.


    Responsibilities :
    Manage projects that are concurrently deployed across the Logistics Division.
    Coordinate project planning and deployment actions across multiple groups and areas of responsibilities.
    Manage relationships with Corporate Engineering, Division and Facility Leadership, customers and third-party suppliers.
    Responsible for deciding control methodologies, architectures, and equipment selection on automation & control projects.
    Perform cost vs. benefit analysis of features with regards to manpower and equipment costs.
    Design and configure Ignition (Human Machine Interface) systemsDesign and program automation solutions based on Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens PLC platformResolve design gap issues at time of deployment
