Description

• Assist the pharmacist in the preparation and distribution of medications, maintaining the drug inventory, and maintaining patient and pharmacy records in a manner consistent with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations, as well as pharmacy policies and procedures.
• Supporting pharmacological services by assembling, stocking and distributing medications
• Maintaining records by recording and filing the prescriptions and orders of Physicians
• Sorting, stocking and labeling medications and monitoring inventory
• Responding to the requests of patients and healthcare providers, answering their questions and referring various inquiries to the Pharmacist
• Complying with rules, regulations and procedures to help maintain a clean, organized and safe pharmacy, such as by sterilizing equipment and surfaces.
• Processing prescriptions electronically and ensuring all information is accurate and complete
• Generating revenues by recording, calculating and issuing charges
• Undertaking administrative tasks such as recordkeeping as assigned by a pharmacist or facility manager from time to time.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a pharmacy technician training program or equivalent experience
• Certification as a pharmacy technician (preferred)
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and pharmaceutical calculations
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced environment
