Production Technician I
A production worker is responsible for device and tray calibration and assembly and packaging of the product. During assembly and checking for quality, ensure all devices run smoothly, are cleaned, and packaged for shipping.


POSITION DESCRIPTION


A production worker operates test equipment, calibrates and verifies devices, works on an assembly line, puts together and inspects products, and adheres to all factory safety guidelines and standards.

The production worker's workspace needs to be kept clean. The production worker's job may change from day to day.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF A PRODUCTION WORKER

  • Flexible: Starts calibration/ assembly at the beginning of a shift or whatever is assigned.
  • Uses checklists to ensure that products are being assembled properly.
  • Keep the workstation and floor clean and free of paper and hazardous materials.
  • Addresses problems with production equipment and machinery and fixes them as needed.
  • Uses tools to perform calibration and assembly of products.
  • Observes and removes faulty product parts from an assembly line and labels them appropriately.
  • Inspects assembled products to ensure they are up to quality standards.
  • Affixes labels, company logos, and other exterior details to products.
  • Cleans and prepares completed products; packs them for shipment.
  • Keeps factory floor clean.
  • Unloads, organizes, and stocks shipments.
  • Adheres to all safety guidelines dictating the production and handling of materials in the factory.
  • Ensures that all production deadlines are met.
  • Reports issues or problems with production to immediate supervisor.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Knowledgeable and comfortable using computers, software apps, and Excel.
  • Can identify problems or malfunctions with machinery and equipment.
  • Demonstrates analytical thinking and problemsolving skills necessary to troubleshoot production issues.
  • Close attention to detail.
  • Exhibits ability to work efficiently and quickly, without compromising quality.
  • Familiar with all factory safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Demonstrates ability to use power tools safely and effectively.
  • Works efficiently and manages time effectively.
  • Possesses physical dexterity necessary to assemble small and delicate product parts.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Work hours are scheduled and are flexible.
  • Communicate to the supervisor if scheduled hours will be missed.
  • Moderate to heavy physical activity such as walking and lifting is required daily.
  • Individuals may be required to handle or transport hazardous chemicals or fragile products.

Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time


Pay:
From $17.00 per hour


Expected hours:
No less than 20 per week
