Plant/Maintenance Manager position, which requires maintenance skills, supervisory and "hands on" experience.
This position requires working
12-hour day shifts from
6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with 2 days off typically.
The salary for this position is
$95,000 in salary plus production bonuses with great benefits reporting to the General Manager.
The Plant Manager position must manage all aspects of plant operations, such as administrative, procurement, production, safety, environmental compliance, personnel, maintenance/repair of equipment, the production floor, confirming incoming/outgoing work, successful completion of job requirements, proper operation of equipment, inside customer sales, work flow, etc.
Primary Duties:
- Delegation of responsibilities to the various plant operations so that work requirements are successfully completed within the time frame
- Perform and direct the performance of routine maintenance on process equipment as required and within the scope of knowledge and ability.
- Provide and use appropriate materials and equipment to complete assigned work according to specifications, verbal instructions, and established procedures.
- Proficiently operate all assigned equipment to perform any operation within the capacity of the equipment as necessary to accomplish required work, including forklift and process equipment.
- Report any issues relating to equipment or employees that exceed normal authority to manage.
- Perform duties and ensure that other employees perform their duties in accordance with safe work practices as established under the guidelines of company policy and safety rules.
- Identify and correct any unsafe or hazardous conditions existing involving plant operations or equipment.
- Ensure that all employees are adhering to proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) guidelines for each job function.
- Familiarity with all aspects of the job; i.e. cleaning line, pan washer, coating line, and curing.
- Ensure all incoming work is accounted for by customer.
- Schedule trucks/drivers to pick up/deliver customer orders
- Schedule trucks/trailers for service, repairs, DOT inspections, etc.
- Submit all monthly reports (chemical inventory, production totals, transportation logs, etc.) by the 5th of the following month.
Qualifications:
- Must be willing to work on the production floor as needed.
- Must have working familiarity with equipment maintenance.
- Must possess or have the ability to obtain forklift license.
- Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
- Must be flexible in working weekends and holidays if needed.
- Must pass a criminal background and drug test.
Pay:
$92, $97,000.00 per year
