    Essential Functions:
  • Issues activity and safety equipment
  • Maintain a clean and presentable indoor and outdoor working environment
  • Ensures supplies and inventory levels are maintained for maximum profit and guest use
  • Instructs guests on safety procedures; explains and witnesses completion of "Release and Waiver of Liability" forms
  • Maintain indoor and outdoor activity equipment
  • Monitors payroll and work schedules
  • Interviews applicants, recommends for hiring, schedules, trains and assists the General Manager with overall functions of the Recreation department.
  • Listens and responds to guest inquiries using a positive, clear speaking voice. Answers questions and offers assistance giving accurate information regarding outlet hours, other hotel services, etc.
  • Greets customers immediately with a friendly and sincere welcome. Remains calm and attentive especially during heavy hotel activity and emergencies.
  • Builds a working knowledge of all hotel disciplines, activities and responsibilities to help guests with questions.

SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS


In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.


  • Communicate and coordinate with Engineering for repair and maintenance of activity equipment
  • Other duties as assigned by manager


In addition to these essential functions, the Recreation Supervisor must be able to frequently walk, crouch, reach, grasp and stand.

Supervisors are also required to adhere to, as well as enforce, safety and security procedures that are set forth by the company.

  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong interpersonal skills

Qualifications:


Education
High School graduate or equivalent required. College degree preferred.


Experience


Two years with travel industry or hospitality preferred; two years in sports & recreation, supervisor related duties and customer service required.


Licenses or Certificates
None.


Grooming
All team members must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance (specific standards available).


Other
Must be at least 18 years of age or older. Applicants with additional language skills preferred.
