Description

At Berkadia, our Loan Closing Specialists plays a critical role in delivering an exceptional and smooth experience for our clients, partners, borrowers and associates.

Berkadia has an immediate opportunity for an experienced professional to join us as a Loan Closing Specialist for our Government-Sponsored Enterprise (GSE) FMAC multi-family housing mortgages.

You will also be responsible for assisting our Loan Closers and helping to coordinate, monitor, and resolve closing and pre-closing issues among multiple platforms including client relations, legal, underwriting, and servicing.

The Loan Closing Specialist is to assist the Third Party Engagement (TPE) Team with various third-party engagements when necessary.

_ We are committed to growing your career, so in this role you will be:_

Prepare the Berkadia Index Lock Agreement, Berkadia Commitment; ensure all rate lock items are received prior to rate lock
Rate Lock all Freddie loans; ensure rate lock is perfected and distribute information to all parties including MB, Counsel and Closer
Assist the Closers in:
Coordinating commitment, closing, and delivery phases of loans originated to ensure commitment requirements are satisfied within a specified timeframe to enable best execution
Recording loan and closing information in OmniView, the Company's system of record
Tracking postclosing documents and coordinate with external counsel and servicing to upload postclosing documents in a timely manner
Reconciling good faith accounts and various other accounting functions associated with closing
Administrative duties as assigned to assist the goals of the Company's Closing function.
Assist and perform Third Party Engagement activities to support the TPE Group.
Other duties as assigned.
Core work hours to cover 11:30 am to 8 pm eastern time
