Responsibilities:


  • Fabricate, assemble, install, and repair sheet metal products and equipment, such as ductwork, plenums, air devices, louvers and air moving equipment.
  • Set up and operate fabricating machines, such as shears, brakes, bending rolls, and punch and drill presses to cut, bend, and straighten sheet metal.
  • Use spot welders, handheld power tools, air hammers and hand tools to assemble duct work and other sheet metal assemblies.
  • Install duct work and sheet metal assemblies on work site according to blueprints and specifications using hand tools and portable power tools.
  • Install air moving equipment, such as air handlers, heat pumps, exhaust fans, and unit heaters.
  • Inspect and test installations for conformance with the project requirements.

Requirements:


  • Minimum 57 years of verifiable experience with sheet metal work in the Mechanical/HVAC industry;
  • HS Diploma or its equivalent, and/or trade school;
  • Must be willing and able to meet all company and customer project entry requirements which may include training, background check, and drug test;
  • Thorough knowledge of sheet metal blueprints, specifications, and codes;
  • Understand basic math;
  • Work skillfully with tools, metals, and machines;
  • Visualize threedimensional objects from drawings, sketches, or blueprints;
  • Work within precise limits and standards of accuracy;
  • Perform a variety of duties which may change often; and rate information using measurable standards.

  • Ability to work with others and serve as a team player, while being able to work independently with mínimal supervision.
  • Good communication skills (speaking and actively listening) with coworkers and supervisors.
  • Be on time to the jobsite each day ready for work.
  • High attention to detail to avoid reworks and errors.
  • Recognize safety hazards and risks, participate in onsite safety meetings, and actively participate in a strong safety culture.
