OVERVIEW
Davenport Asset Management manages over $12 billion in assets across several proprietary equity, fixed income, and asset allocation strategies.

This full-time, exempt position will join the Asset Management Trading Team to implement and trade the various strategies Asset Management handles.

This includes investing/managing UMA and SMA accounts according to strategy and client instructions.


RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Collaborate with Advisors to ensure timely investment of accounts and a clear understanding of expectations in accordance with the client's chosen strategy and instructions
• Implement and coordinate investment changes among strategies and managers while ensuring compliance with the investment policy and guidelines
• Monitor accounts and relationships to maintain compliance with Investment Policy Statements
• Document exceptions and changes in investment guidelines
• Manage cash levels and gains according to strategy and client objectives
• Work in a team environment with fellow Trading Associates, Portfolio Managers and our Advisors
• Assist in process improvement
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• College Degree and Series 7 & 66 registered preferred
• Trading and Account Management experience preferred
• Must be able to multitask to exceed the client service expectations of colleagues and advisors
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new situations and processes
• Strong attention to detail and an ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
• Highly motivated with strong communication skills
• Ability to work in a collaborative and dynamic team environment
• Responsive and energetic professional demeanor
• Ability to work beyond normal business hours as needed
• Broad knowledge of the investment business
• Indepth knowledge of overlay portfolio management and Unified Managed Accounts preferred
• Knowledge of Vestmark or other trading platforms preferred
